Consumer Engagement across the UK

Throughout February Global Media Hub have been busy up and down the UK helping publishers get their titles directly into the hands of their target audience through highly targeted sampling activities at apt events and locations:


Our brand to hand campaign at The British Shooting Show, NEC Birmingham featured The Field, The Shooting Times and Airgun Shooter. As the UK's largest shooting show, the attendee demographic was a perfect fit for all three magazines and provided a key opportunity to increase exposure for their advertisers. Our brand ambassadors were situated on the Skywalk, connecting the train station to the exhibition hall, to allow us to target event goers as they entered and left the show. Our experienced merchandisers wore branded clothing and were briefed on the brand messages prior to the activity to ensure they could fully represent the key principles and image of the brands. We saw fantastic pick-up rates with 100% of copies handed out, highlighting the effectiveness of a well targeted campaign.

Manchester & Liverpool

To help promote Panini’s Premier League Sticker collection Global Media Hub arranged sampling of both albums and stickers in Liverpool and Manchester

Despite the effort of storm Eunice the Liverpool activity was a huge success with our fantastic staff driving engagement from young and old alike.

For our Manchester activity our brand ambassadors were situated on Market Street, Manchester's key area for high street shopping, which was bustling with weekend shoppers. This heavy footfall provided the perfect environment for our sampling campaign with all albums and stickers handed out throughout the day.


Over the half term we handed out copies of First News along London’s Southbank to target families visiting the capital. The client’s desired audience is children aged between 7 and 14 so the increased holiday footfall provided the perfect opportunity to reach their demographic on a mass scale. The aim of the activity was to promote a free 6-week trial of First News, our brand ambassadors highlighted this message when sampling the copies and the campaign is measurable through the QR code on the front cover.
